The 2024 NCAA Pix Tournament is over, and Ed Hinkle is our champion! Congratulations, Ed! This is Ed's fourth championship since the inception of the tournament in 1996. The final standings are located here.

This is the home of the NCAA Pix Tournament, a contest that offers
you the chance to join a group of misfits in picking the winners of the men's NCAA Division I basketball tournament every year. I have been hosting this tournament since 1987 but I didn't officially start tracking the results until 1996, when three founding members (myself, Mark King and Jerry Finney) started this nonsense, along with one additional contestant (Jeff Finney). We have competed every year since then, except for 2020 when COVID cancelled our fun.

This tournament has no entry fee. This is NOT a business, and we do NOT sell your email address. This is just a group of friends making picks, giving each other a hard time for poor picks, congratulating each other for good picks and seeing who wins. We are only playing for bragging rights. All you have to do is go to our website once the teams have been selected (around 8 PM on Selection Sunday) and click on the teams you feel will win their games from the start of the tournament (including the First 4 games) to the end. Points are awarded for correct picks each round, and the person who has the most points in the end wins our tournament.
This tournament is open to everyone who wants to be in it
and has a relationship with one of the other contestants. If you know me, that's good enough. If this is your first year, just send me an email with your full name, email address and who you know that is currently in the tournament that suggested you join us.

You have only a short window of time to make your picks. In order to be fair to everyone, we have a strict rule regarding submitting all of your picks before the first "First 4" game begins, which we include with our picks. This means you have less than 48 hours after the teams are announced to make your picks. That's what makes this tournament so challenging.

I have kept a separate website for this tournament for years, so until I have time to bring all of it together into this main site, I will continue to use the old links for historical references while using this section for this year's tournament. I will endeavor to get everything into one organized website by the beginning of the 2025 NCAA Pix Tournament, if not sooner.

If you want to look back at past year's tournaments, use these links:
2023, 2022, 2021, 2019, 2018, 2017, 2016, 2015, 2014, 2013, 2012, 2011 and 2010. If you do, use the "Select Report" drop-down menu to see different reports, including showing each person's individual picks. (Keep in mind that the tournament was cancelled in 2020, due to COVID-19.) I have recently found the old files for the tournaments prior to 2010, so if you have any interest in viewing those VERY poorly-designed web pages, use these links: 2009, 2008, 2007, 2006, 2005, 2004, 2003, 2002, 2001, 2000, 1999, 1998, 1997, 1996. Unfortunately, the software created files in a different format, so I'll need to do some work to get all of these pages in a uniform format.

If you have any questions about the tournament, email
Roger Killion, the tournament director. I hope to see YOU competing with us this year! The more, the merrier!
